Long before we lived in a colorful world (you know, those black and white pictures don’t lie….), there was my Mom and Aunt Marianna. When they were around, parties were more fun, songs were more boisterous, everyone danced, all the women wore pearls and sparkly jewelry and there was laughter….so much laughter. My Mom passed away two years ago (and, oh boy, do I miss her), but my Aunt M is still with us and turned 90 today. Let’s all sing (really…belt it out) Happy Birthday to the best Aunt I could ever have wished for….
Such a wonderful big sister. They were just this close all of Mom’s life.
Uncle Bud, Mom, Dad and Aunt Marianna. Now wouldn’t you want to be at their party?
The last time the sisters were together. We took Mom on a train trip to Florida (more about that later). Aren’t they lovely?
