Marble Day – Types of Marbles

If I go in the “way back machine” (seriously, who didn’t just love Rocky and Bullwinkle?)  I can remember my days of collecting and playing marbles.  To be honest, it was more about collecting as playing marbles had risk attached to it (I might lose my marbles….turns out I didn’t have to lose at a game…)

There are a bazillion types of marbles, but I think I captured the most popular and the ones your kids/grand-kids are more likely to find (or, I may have included them because I just thought the names were cute – what’s not to love about a Peac0ck marble?)

So, here you go… I thought they were quite lovely….and the kids will enjoy matching their marbles to the chart (at the very least the kids/grand-kids will be impressed with your knowledge!)

I was wondering where you got those marbles, because i would be very keen to get some, or maybe even buy them off you. I am only 11 years old though, and do marbles at school.

Oh Nathaniel, I sure wish i had some to share with you!! I have several grandchildren and I’m sorry to say they have all my marbles! (does that mean I’ve lost my marbles?) Good luck on your marble collection. I have always had good luck finding marbles at flea markets or garage sales, so maybe your parents will take you to some to see what you can find. have fun and good luck..

I am happy to have you use them and get them printed. Are you talking about the charts I have on my post?

Let me know and I’ll work with you to get what you need.
