Good grief. I spilled water on my laptop.
Evidently that’s a problem.
So….this post is coming directly from my iPad.
Not the optimal situation.
Note to self: no water near the computer.
Actually, I just wanted to get caught up with Easter. I thought it would be good if I finished sharing before May Day (not that I have anything to share for May Day, it just seems like a worthy goal)
So…where were we? That’s right..we covered cookies and flower pots…..let’s get right to the eggs….
First of all, this was the first year we didn’t use our dining room table. We had a new table made last year (from barn wood) and I guess I thought it would be good to protect it from…oh, you know…dye and water and all things colored eggs. I suppose the smaller table was okay for the little guys,
but my nephews and niece are grown. Not a good fit. Fortunately they are good sports.
Next year, I’ll get a tarp for the big table. Breathing room for all.
Highlights from the egg dying

Look at that one drip. I love this picture, although not entirely sure why. A bit lemon like, don't you think?

So...Charlie thought it would be a good idea to leave the eggs in for several hours so they would be a deep, deep color. Well, it worked, but here's something you may not have known. It weakens the shell so that it's ...rubbery. Um...ick.
What were the fairies doing while all this was going on?
While the kids were dying the eggs, the Easter Bunny “hid” the eggs. Seriously, this bunny is not suited for covert activities..

Well, they aren't exactly hidden, but you would be surprised at how confusing this is for the kids. Hidden in plain sight...
Then, let’s see…more egg action.
Saturday night, the Easter Bunny left baskets for the kids, and hid the dyed eggs.

Don't you just love the excitement of the kids coming down the stairs to all the cellophane, ribbons and Peeps? We make them wait on the stairs until we are ready. Some weird payback from when we were kids.
…and the fairies?
Just a few more pics, from Easter Morning.
Well, thanks for being so understanding. I’ll be home tomorrow to my (so far) undamaged Mac. I can’t wait. My index fingers are bruised from typing on the iPad “keyboard”
I just love Easter at your house. Well done. Love you!
We all love you, too…and miss you

It’s all in the presentation!! (Kind of like a Christmas letter!) Good news for all these little pumpkins is that they have so many grandparents who love them and so many experiences they can enjoy with all of us. And I know you’ll agree…these kids are just AWESOME!!
Take care!!
