Ten Gourds a Heaping

On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me … Ten Gourds a Heaping.

I know you’re disappointed.  You were thinking, maybe, that I had found some leaping lords.

No such luck.

Not only did I fail to find leaping lords, but I also failed to find actual gourds.

Evidently, you need to gather gourds in the fall.

I could change the theme to …

Hoards I am Keeping.

Boards I am Sweeping.

Or I could substitute gourds …

… for these gourd-like freakishly small fruit.

I went with the fruit.

The rest was easy.

I just happened to have a hoard, er, good selection of glitter.

Paint the “gourds” and let them dry.

Once dry, apply a layer of Mod Podge and generously sprinkle glitter over the Mod Podge.

Be sure to capture the glitter so you can re-use it.

It’s just that easy.

Once the “gourds” have dried, heap them on a pretty dish.
