Generally, Camp consists of a gaggle of cousins, but sometimes we are able to try something new.
We have had Camp by age group.
We have had a Girls Camp and a Boys Camp.
This year, we have three Camps. The first Camp consisted of our three 11 1/2 year olds, but we had it at a hotel.
Our second Camp was an actual brother and sister!!
What?
A brother and sister in camp?
No cousins?
And yet, it worked beautifully.
Added bonus? With only one stop to make, we were on the road toot sweet!!
On our way to Camp, we made a slight detour to pick up fruits and vegetables (more on that later).
Carson had the right idea…
Mackenzie had her own ideas.
Once at Camp, the kids had a chance to go through their Camp Gear.
What, you didn’t know that Marble Golf was Regulation Camp Gear?
Grampy showed the kids how to use their stop watches.
Grampy showed one of the kids how to use a stop watch.
In spite of the stop watches, time marched on….
It was time for dinner and we needed two cooks.
Carson and MacKenzie volunteered.
Seriously. They raised their little fish covered hands…
..and made a fabulous, wonderful meal.
They flipped fish…
They schmeared fish …
They coated fish …
They ate fish …
Want the recipe for a most amazing fish dish?
A fish recipe so good that Carson had three (yes … three) helpings?
A fish recipe Mackenzie proclaimed tasted just like fluffy chicken?
A fish recipe repeated during Camp at the request of Carson and Mackenzie?
A fish recipe Grampy and I fully intend to make again?
ok
you’re welcome.
