Now that daylight savings has sucked the life out of our evenings (what? It’s 5:00 p.m. and it’s dark already?), I have an opportunity to catch up on the doings at Camp Grandmama and Grampy Campy #3!
Our last camp of the summer was just a little different from previous camps.
Siblings (and different age groups). Oh, the blue guy? Not a sibling.
Were we ready for this rag tag bunch of tooth-challenged, sibling-stratified, mixed gender, age-disparate grandchildren?
Were they ready for us?
Were the big brothers ready to say good bye to their sibs?
Were Mommies and Daddies ready to let their campers go?
Possibly not (although I think I may have heard a slight refrain (a whisper, really) of “I can sleep in, I can sleep in, I can sleep in….”).
We were armed with a variety of car activities.
Mr. Ed! (The 60s style photo seems appropriate for a Mr. Ed moment, don’t you think?)
And so, with an every half hour chorus of “A horse is a horse of course of course…..”, Camp #3 had finally begun.
